5 speed question..

I just did a conversion from auto to 5 speed and Here is a list of problems I am having :

1. My car was running fine when I was auto when they finished conversion I took car home was all fine except the vibration.. All of a sudden my check engine light went on I went back to the shop he says its Knock Sencer I did the door trick clicked it 5 times check engine went away but I still ordered the Knock senser since then my car has really been hard to start sometimes wont start at all just makes the noice like the battery is dead (My Battery is fine) went to another shop says you need to change engine harness to the one they have in manual cars like $1200 I dont get what engine harness has to do with my car not starting right I mean if it worked when I was auto what is the problem when its manual Do you think its because of the knock senser or ignition problems please help I really love 5speed but cannot drive when I know something is wrong with my car.

2. Car shakes when going in first gear (vibrates) really hard everyone says its your ACT clutch ones it brakes in should be fine 128k so far problem still not gone. Same problem when going reverse also shakes.. When I give it high RPMS like 3k the car wont jerk but thats crazy my friends 5 speed does not have that kind of problem is this really the clutch or??

Thanks in advance.

the shaking is probably the surface of the flywheel being very rough

At the time of clutch installation, was the flywheel resurfaced? It should have been. Could be causing some problems...

Either a clutch problem or just give it more gas. I know my act shakes the car when i dont rev too much when starting 1st. Thats just the way it is.

well my experience with the maxima and stick is just with a cenerforce clutch and a act. Now i gaurantee no matter how long you drive it, the ACT will always be more rough. Thats just its design so i think that what you experiencing wont go away, unless if there was something wrong with the install, which is unlikely.
