I just got 97 Maxima GLE from somebody. And I did not pay attention to the gas that car use and used # 87. After I used almost two tanks of gas, the light of " "Service Engine Soon " is steady on. At that time I just realized the problem may be the gas, which I should use the gas above # 91. So now I filled the tank with # 93, but the light is still on. Somebody told me I should put some engine clean in the gas tank, is that true?In addition, should I do "ECU fault code diagnosis" which posted in this forum?

Could you pls tell me what I should do for this light? I am a new guy for maxima. Give me some suggestion.

YES usE THE ECU FAULT CODE PAGE at the top of the page, and after u find the error code, search for it and see what other people did to fix it
also after u get all that done read hte 4thgen FAQ's it will answer many Q's u might have for ur max
