Tuning up the maxima

I'm gonna be tuning up the maxima soon here...

Things to do:

Change oil
Change oil filter
Tighten Throttle cables
Clean out the throttle body / MAF

Is there anything else i can do.. to get better response...
How do i tighten the throttle cables...
What's the website that shows the directions to clean out the throttle body / MAF...

Thanx!

Check the ground on your MAF. Search for the post about that.

Throttle cable adjustment isn't a tune up.

Tune up should include replacement of

Spark Plugs
Fuel Filter
PCV Valve
Air Filter

Yo, do you guys recommend Platinum Plugs?

Many Chevy enthusiasts upgrade FROM platinum plugs.

Copper plugs perform better than platinum plugs. They conduct better and provide a better spark. Copper just doesnt last as long and many manufactures use the platinum so they can hype their "no tuneup till 100k miles" claims. I use copper NGK TR-55's on my truck.

I know on F-bodies (LS1's) that the Platinum part gets blown to bits within the first few thousand miles anyway, then you get to have spark plugs all with the wrong gaps and poor performance.

So what do these Nissan 6 cylinders like to use?
