grimy, stained rims ... help

Just picked up a '98 SE with nice alloy wheels, but there's gunk and grime in the little nooks 'n' crannies ... any hints on cleaning those bad boys so that they shine up like new? Thanks ...

You can spray some paint thinner on them to dissolve the grime quickly. Brush it around gently, rinse it and then wash, polish and wax the wheels.

They should look like new when your done.

I'm going against TOm on this...use "SIMPLE GREEN" and the toothbrush method...I think it'll be better than paint thinner...or just get fine steel wool and simple green or paint thinner and it will do all the work for ya
