JC Whitney Muffler and Cat

I need to replace my stock 97 se muffler. Are the ones from JC whitney any good? I dont care to have a super loud muffler, but I do notice that with my current setup that the muffler is the last piece of the exhaust puzzle that is smaller than the rest of my exhaust. On their site (JC Whitney - linked below):

They have several mufflers,
the SUPER TURBO MUFFLER,
FULLY WELDED PERFORMANCE MUFFLER,
FLOWMASTER DELTA FLO 40 SERIES PERFORMANCE MUFFLERS and
CHERRY BOMB TURBO II MUFFLERS.
Most have the 3" available. Has anyone used one of these and if so what are your thoughts?

Also they sell the catco high flow cats as well as others. Has anyone used these?

UNIVERSAL CATALYTIC CONVERTERS

I have replaced my stock cat with a custommaxima.com racing straight pipe and I did not notice much difference. This was before my ECU, but still I wonder if this is even worthwhile as a mod?

thanks for any info,
