My 20 mile Progress Rear Sway Bar Review
For those who don't care to read:
Well worth the $110
INSTALL:
Install was quite easy with instructions from vqpower.com. Took 45 mins total which is still a little longer than i expected. Only problem I ran into was the washers I was given to use on the ubolts which connect to the beam were too small, so until i get washers tomorrow, i am not using them for those 4 bolts.
CASUAL DRIVE:
Not much different, if at all, until you take a 90 degree turn at slow speeds. Immediately it feels much more neutral. But who cares about casual driving if you want better handling? For the record, the ride is not ANY more harsh AT ALL. There is no difference in harshness with just an RSB and FSTB.
HARD DRIVING:
On my 6 mile fun twisty drive, I noticed a lot of things. I am used to being able to plow into turns using understeer and have been used to that seeing as my last car was also FWD. Since it is so new in my car, I have yet to really learn how to drive with it properly. In hard cornering at around 30-40mph the car feels much better, yet I am still in fear of oversteer--something I have never had to face before. It is odd to almost feel the rear end start to go when you take 90+ degree turns quickly. The other new thing to me was how much more vocal the tires are in all turns. The tires screech more than Im used to but i've been told that isnt neccesarily a sign of losing control/traction too much, thus not really resulting in worse handling. Once I properly learn how to drive with it, I can tell it is MUCH better. However, the turn that had me going WOW when leaving it was a sweeping freeway offramp. Where I wouldnt dare take it at 55 before, I took it at 55 and the car felt much more planted and didnt feel like it was sliding on two tires anymore.
OVERALL:
Great difference with FSTB and RSB over stock, however, those with experience in a RWD car will have an advantage. No longer can I go into a sharp turn and just plow through it at speed, as if i was to try now, i could spin out. Live and learn...

So your saying that the RSB will make the car spin out on hard/fast turns more than before...what the point then, i want to take turns harder and faster
maybe i am misunderstanding you...please elaborate more

i have experienced the wow, i finally got the square u bolts that i needed and what a difference. I agree, my tires are alot more vocal but i can tell the car is handling alot differently. It just feels so planted, i love it!
