Starter Replacement: Part number and guides

Hello all,

Seems to me that I need to change my knock sensor and the starter since those two are starting to act up.

I need some write ups on changing the starter..and its part number. Is this the correct part number: 23300-2Y900R?

The car is 97 GXE (should be the same as other 4th gen).

Thank you,

Armand

11/16? I thought those bolts should be in metric instead of standard?

I heard that starter from Autozone and Pepboys do not last as long as ours, that's the reason I go with OEM.

sometimes the autozone ones last, sometimes they dont. if your doing it yourself and don't mind changing it, get the autozone one for about half as much and when it does go theyll just give ya another one. Biggest thing getting them from autozone or pepboys is make sure they give ya a 10 tooth starter not an 8 tooth. good luck
