Ok, my A/C isn't working! I took it to pepboys so they could check on it. They said they did and they said that its my compressor because its making alot of noise. So my friend took out his A/C and compressor and I am going to put his in my car. Now the question is,
When I tried to recharge the system and we checked the pressure the pressure gauge stayed at zero. When we took the hoses off no air released like it is suppose to. What could be the problems?? Could it be a bad compressor?? Do they go bad?

 

Yes they go bad. Did you replace all the seals where the lines connect to the compressor? You have a leak somewhere.

 

you prolly have a leak in one of the hoses. if there is no pressure in the system, the ac compressor clutch will not engage. if there is a noise it could be the clutch in the compressor going bad
