Removing Spare Tire...Opinions

Anybody do this and feel any real gains? I have my eye on a can of fix a flat..... Does the butt dyno register the spare tire removal or is it not worth it?
I figure I Could then use the bay for my cleaning supplies
By the way, I did do a search.

I do take my spare off when I go to the track but I do that at the track. It is a weight reduction measure. It does not add any power to your engine it just reduces the weight that your engine has to drag down the quatermile. It wont make any difference at the dyno because the dyno records how much power is going to your front wheel so the weight does not matter. And personally, I don't think its safe to drive around without a spare tire.

i did the removal, no gains really, well noticible gains, yes it will make you faster, but it wont make you fast. buy a can of that gunk and throw those supplies in there, screw the spare jack and anything else you got in there. if your going on a long trip you can always put them back in. this is not a time consuming thing. try it out.
