Max slow off line

Maybe it is just me but my max, no matter what I do is like a shopping cart off the line. Any suggestions. I am running high 2.4 short times.

Auto or 5 speed? Do you spin you tires at all (can you, hopefully)

When was your last tune up? Bad plugs, dirty throttle body, etc. could be causing the sluggishness off the line.
