this is becoming a popular thing to do to prevent the wire from overheating. How often does everyone plan to clean the thing?

Re: cleaning the MAF with c. cleaner??

Don't use carb cleaner. Go to Radio shack and pick up a can or 2 of electrical parts cleaner. You can blast away at your MAF and it will clean it without any leftover residue and no potential harm.

So which one is it? Electrical parts cleaner, denatured alcohol, or carb cleaner? I thought your not supposed to touch the maf directly??? Would carb cleaner hurt the maf's preformance cause I thought thats how you clean it in the firstplace???

Just use some denatured alcohol and then use some spray air to clean/dry the mesh screen and sensor. Remember....Be careful, and do not touch the inside sensor....... Just drip some alcohol onto it.
