Window
I have a 96 GLE and i left my driver side window open for a couple days. i put the windwos down before i went for a dirve and it worked perfect. Then when i got home i tryed bringing the window back up and the motor stuggles only get about 1/2 way up... i tryed to help it along with my hand putting alot of force into it but its doing nothing?
My thinking is when i had it partly down someone tryed to get into my car by forcing the window down but didnt make it b/c nothing is missing.
I could be anything but before i bring this to the machanic anyone know of a quick fix?
Thanx

Well it took me about 25min and the “Interior Chrome Door Handles” instructions but I fixed it.
Incase this happens to you.. What happened is the rubber runner came off for some reason? I took the panel off (kinda tricky but listen to the instructions and when in trouble PULL HARD ;-). then I un screwed the speaker, then little by little I fed the runner down, then rolled the window up a bit the fed some more, until the runner is back into place.
Window works great now thanx for all your help guys

glad to hear you got it going, but definitely replace tyhe runner when you get a chance cuz it probably won't last. You will probably have to do that every so often until you replace. Be very careful whe your rollong your window up and down. My entire window fell into the door panel once and I had to take it off to get the window out and that was all because of a bad runner that I delayed replacing. B4ecause of that i alsoi had to re-tint my window. Good luck!
