well, I had one bulb blown ( I thought) , so I took the fog light off. I took the bulb out, and replaced it with the bulb from the other fog. It still did not work on that side, so I put the working bulb back in on the side that was working. Now neither side is working !! I dont think the bulbs are blown because they dont look like they are... What in the hell did I do to it???? anybody??

Try buying another bulb (standard 55w) and put that in. It may be the bulb.

well it could be that you socket isnt connected right on that for or you are having a short in that one light and it blew the other bulb when you installed it.

This has happened to me before.

First, as Smoothmax suggested, make sure that you have a 55 watt bulb. There are 100 watt H3's available and if that is what you have then it will just keep blowing your fuse. Go ahead and install the bulbs. Then check your fuse box under the hood on the driver's side. There should be a 15 amp fuse there, and I'll bet you it's blown. Remember to change your bulbs first or you will just blow another fuse. Hope that helps.

It could be:

* a bad fuse
* a bad relay
* a bad switch

Do you have a voltmeter or something to see if there's current at the socket? Turn on the fogs and check for current. If it shows 12v, then look at the bulbs, 0v, look at the fuses, and relays. Get a Haynes manual, it outlines all the curcuits of the whole car in a straitforward manner.

Good luck, and tell us how it goes.

thanks

Just wanted to thank everyone for helping me on this subject. This board has a lot of helpful people on it and needs to be applauded. On the other hand, I messed with my car for 2 hours today, and finally gave up. I cranked up my max to go somewhere, and saw that my bright lights were on... I felt like kicking myself in the ***!!!! :P
