If you got a larger front sway bar, you'd probably notice a big difference. However, I don't think you'd like it. Front sway bars usually increase understeer, which we have too much of already. RSB's increase oversteer, which tries to neutralize our FWD car's understeer tendencies. The RSB you have will make a marked difference at the limits.

Our cars are equipped with a front sway bar. Actually just about every car on the road has a front sway bar to reduce body roll. You can upgrade the bushings to make it slightly firmer.

Like dave said you don't want a thicker front sway bar unless you want to make your car handle worse than it already does. Why aren't you happy with the rear sway bar?

well i guess i'm use to my friends IS300, he has front and rear sway bars and his car handles like CRAZY....something on the lines of a 911 turbo. i guess i pictured my car like that but didnt get it. had high hopes but did not come true so thats why i'm not satisfied with it. anything else i could do to make the car handle better? i'm dropping the car in about a week and i have a fstb and a rear sway bar.....anything else i could do?

Buy a RWD car. Seriously, FWD can't handle ot the same extent that RWD can. Just the physics of it. sorry.

First of all your car is not an is300 so it will never handle as good.
Secondly go to warpspeed.com and check out there subframe connector. I will be getting this soon they supposed stiffen your ride and give you zero body roll.

No, the SFCs will not reduce body roll to zero. They will just increase the rigidity of the chassis, thus leaving more of the work to your suspension. A stiff chassis is always a good thing. As a result, your turns will feel noticably more precise and easier to maneuver. Stage II works wonders on sharp sweepers such as on/off ramps, but unlike others, I experienced a more harsh feedback over abrupt bumps on the freeway, etc. But the car does feel more solid overall and I still recommend both stages.

if we were able to get a thicker front bar, and thicker rear's the handling would be much improved IMHO its a shame no one makes a kit for us

Umm, no, actually you want a _thinner_ front sway bar, to help reduce the nasty understeer inherent in our cars. In fact, some autocrossers _remove_ the front sway bar. I'm pretty sure Energy Suspension does make a reduced diameter front sway bar for the Max, but I'm not sure where you'd get it.

Actually you do want a better front bar. There is a reason why ST makes a front and rear bar set for the 3-gens. I understand how you think a front bar will increase understeer. If you just put on the frt bar, it will make the car understeer like crazy. But use a performance frt bar with a much thicker rear bar and the results are amazing. In theory, you would think just a rear bar would be best. But in reality, the frt bar greatly reduces the nasty frt end dive so common in fwd cars going into turns. On my 3-gen, it really made the car handle much better because the frt bar actually transfered more work to the rear side. So the whole suspension is now working together vs overloading that particular front side. Trust me, on my 3-gen, I've tried, just an addco rear bar(worked great). Just a ST solid front bar(worked terrible). And both, ST frt, thicker than the ST, ADDCO rear bar. Worked the BEST.

Not only does that IS300 have RWD it's also got a 50/50 weight ratio. It's got advantages right out of the dealer we can never match.

That FSTB should really help your steering response. The RSB helps it rotate and oversteer more. Springs, struts, wheels, and tires also make a world of difference - in addition to the sub-frame conn.

As for a larger or smaller FSB you could try Saner in FL.

I was gonna have them build me a smaller front bar before I just removed mine entirely. I want that extra front dive to help my rear rotate more.
