weight reduction
Re: weight reduction
Take out your interior (seats, door skins, and rear bench) and remove all of the sound deadening, power accessories (power window motor) and reinstall the door skins and rear bench with nothing under it. Upgrade to light weight drivers and passanger side seats and you would have the looks of functionality while not really having any.
Not that I have done this, but it would probably add up to a lot of weight. Just a guess though.

Remove hoodliner. I have done this and it doesn't hurt the paint on the hood. It weighs about five ibs and reduces heat in the engine bay. Also, remove splash guard beneath the engine. This weighs 3 ibs with bolts and again reduces engine bay temps. Maxima1219 what do you mean by extra engine piping? Are u talking about intake resonators? I'm interested if there is substaintial weight saving in the engine itself.
ok heres a good sugestion, Get some fire ratardent covering and put it on your drivers seat, then grab some Napalm and burn everything you dont need, O you mite need some on your shift ***, rear view mirror, and on your gauges. LOLOLOL
Just my .2 Cents

please.
remember 100 lbs. equates to .1 (one tenth of a second) in the 1/4 mile on average.
be realistic about weight loss with your max.
it really helped out my times on my se-r, but it's not a daily driver(totally gutted).
