MEVI from Courtesy Nissan

I was looking at this MEVI kit from Courtesy Nissan, but it says "Additional parts will be required, that will not be provided by Courtesy Nissan." What parts are they talking about, and where are you supposed to get them? Here it is: http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...e=A32-MANIFOLD

Also, where can I go to have the MEVI installed? I wouldn't know how to even begin on installing something like that myself.

Hit up Dafro.....he has done this and is in CO. Also, MadMax95 would prolly be able to give you some good help with it.

Also, check some performance shops, Im sure they can do it too.

Is it really worth to get a MEVI? I'm not too familiar with it.

If your boosted or have an intake and full exhaust, but then you'd also need the JWT ECU to really take advantage of the ability to see higher RPM's. Just the MEVI as a bolt on will not give you much.

Well, last time I checked they were out of many of the parts, so the kit wasn't being sold.... Now that it's public lol..... they don't have ANY of the switches available, none of the vacuum lines/ canisters are there. PM me and we'll talk about it, I can stop by and do a quick run through of part numbers.

well it's a great mod if your planning on doing alot of highway runs...
that's what i'm getting from reading all about the MEVI.

if your ususing this mod to increase 1/4 mile times... then it won't do much. You would have to get the JWT ECU to take advantage of it at lower speeds. But on the highway, you should be able to keep up with the 5th gen's highway power.

Am i correct in saying this? anyone, anyone?

yeah... the higher u can rev, the better gains you'll have... this isn't something that you're gonna want if you're a guy who does light to light runs etc... it's not worth it.... it's good for those speed freaks remaining at say the top of 3rd, 4th 5th gears

Many say we need better valves( with shorter stroke I believe), nealoc187 said his were floating after using the MEVI with the JWT ecu. The raised redline caused this. If we had better valves I would get that stuff in a jiffy with a 7700RPM redline, if they still do that...

"If you are not familiar with this kit, do not install it or purchase it until you find more information."

That was the whole reason I was told not to advertise it, the whole point was to sell it to enthusiasts because it's a installation, that if done improperly can cause fatal results - example: Ppl not using loctite on their bolts for the butterfly valves..

Anyway, on top of that 440 bux or so, youre going to need a 50 dollar rpm switch, among other things.... do your research

its 7200RPMS's and I heard the valves wont float till 7400..so with a 7200RPM cut off with the JWT, your safe

There is a MEVI thread at the top of this forum. Evrything you need will be in that thread.

I thought it was valve float at the time but it wasnt. Whatever it was, it's gone and hasn't come back (knock on wood). Last time I experienced that was probably 2-3 months ago. I dunno what it was, but whatever it is it worked itself out and the 7200limiter is working great now.
