Let me preface by saying I'm still a Harlan supporter, but I try to be objective regarding my mods.

My setup is as follows:
I have 2 Harlan RPM switches residing under the shifter panel running off of coil 3. They both attach to the same tach, power, and ground wires, and both are hooked up to a LED for monitoring purposes (yellow for VI and red for shift light with buzzer). The VI Harlan is also on a relay.

On Wednesday I got in my car and noticed that my Harlan had stopped working. However, the strange thing was that my shift light was still working Therefore I knew the ground, power, and rpm signal wire were all ok, but for some reason the VI Harlan still wasn't working (I also knew the VI wasn't activating because of the sound).

Thursday evening the Harlan started working again and still works today. This is the first occurance I've had of a Harlan flaking out in my year of VI ownership.

The only solution I can come up with is that it was very hot and humid outside on Wednesday. I've had my CD player (Bose) stop working once or twice when it was very hot and humid, so maybe the Harlan was reacting the same way.
