Just ordered a Y pipe!

What's up guys I just ordered my y pipe from Budget here's the link http://budgetexhaust.com/ the company seems great and customer service is great, and I'm sure a lot of other members here with their Y pipe will agree with me. I'll keep you guys posted with the install, and how it feels afterwards. I'm just worried about the banging that some members complain about what can I do about that? Thanks! And umm, I can't wait MORE POWER FOR MY AUTOMATIC !

Good purchase. Thats the only mod I'm missing to free up air flow from my max. I'll order ir one day. Just can't stand the two week wait.

my pipe should be coming in a few days....anyone have a good walkthrough on the install as to what should be done before or after the install...are the gains going to be noticable because after the CAI was installed i was a bit dissapointed with the performance gain...however, the sound increase was nice...thanks

Re: Just ordered a Y pipe!

You can try exhuast wrap to help reduce the rattling.

A car with a Y-pipe will pass emissions, just make sure the car is fully warmed up.

A 3 week wait when dealing with aftermarket part companies is nothing. It sucks but that's how it is.

i have the budget on my car now. it's a nice piece, especially for the price. i dunno about any extra install questions, in fact, it's pretty simple. just unbolt the old piece and install the new. just make sure you don't tighten any bolts until all the nuts and bolts are loosely on and connecting the y-pipe to the other exhaust. tight after they're all in place. don't forget to do that! it's a pretty simple reminder, but can be kind of a headache if you forget while your car's up on jackstands and you're laying under it..
