I'm hearing this banging of some sort coming from underneath the car when I floor it. It seems to make more noise when I'm turning while flooring it. I took it to Jeff and Maximum Tuning and we couldn't find anything? I'm baffled? I have a Cattman Y-Pipe!

all it is is the pipe flexing under tourque. it bangs the metal underside of your car. i had the same problem. after a while it went away.

How long did it take to go away? It's been about a month 1/2 for me.

Try removing or bending your cat shield also...that may help....

its been about 3 months now and i hear nuttin anymore. its was really bad at one point. (people could hear it as i sped away) but it went away.

You have a cattman too?

i got a warpspeed performance pipe.

hey driver, besides that banging did you get any other sounds from the warpspeed like hissing or that bees in a can sound everyone is talking about?

budget bangs, custom header gasket fixed issues. but after car accident, y-pipe cracked, so stock y is back on =(

Oh I remember you... I had the silver maxima before your car. The one took long time...... damm you still hear that noise..... I would say take it to jeff agian for second look, another time... He was probebly very tired, he was working like on 5 diffrent cars that day.... and my car took very long time... I don't know if Jeff test drove your car. but I would say you should have him test drive it... it could be better if he test drive it....good luck to you...

Hey! Hows the Y-Pipe? I drove the car with him and he was also baffled. But it strange, I drove the car last night and this morning and the banging seems to be a whole lot less and at times I hear nothing.

i have the pipe paired with stock b pipe and a hanabi muffler. after installing y pipe the car was alot louder. the buzzing noise i never had, and the hissing noise i have never had either.

see there u go i told u it goes away.

btw.. when it was installed, did u have any problems with fitment. with mine there was a problem of it being to tight. there was little room for it to move at first. it was really wedged in. i think thats part of the problem at first. but after a while i brought it back to the place where installed it and they said that it wasn't as tight anymore.

I have a Warspeed and get the banging sound when flooring it from a full stop. Checked everything and made sure the cat shield was bent away. Will live with it and hopefully it goes away.
