6 coils, none firing

On sunday my car died while driving, had it toed to my mechanic. They just called and said none of the coils are firing. Is there anything that could be bad between the coils packs and the computer, or is the computer fried??

Your crank shaft position sensor is gone.

There are two of them, it's probably the one called POS for position. It's located under the car on the front part of the tranny bell housing, it looks at the flywheel.
