Hey does anyone's oil light flicker for maybe 1/2 second when doing a cold start? I've taken it to 2 different dealerships and after running tests they both assured me that nothing was wrong and it was normal. I'm not disagreeing with them, my car runs perfect...I'm just wondering if anyone else out there experiences this.

My '99 Maxima does not do this. I do not think it is normal. It could be the result of an oil filter with a leaky anti-drainback valve. Try replacing your oil filter, perhaps with a different brand this time.

my car has done this for the 3 years I have owned it...then again I have a 10 year old car...some people say it's normal, some people say it's not. I say if your not having any problems not to worry about it (unless it starts staying on). just my thoughts.
