Y pipe/ test pipe installed now SES light??

Budget y pipe and CM test pipe installed last Wed. Got a SES light on Friday. Is it because of the back O2 sensor? If so how do I remedy the problem. I thought the CM test pipe was supposed to be SES/CEL light friendly for 97-99. What do you guys think?

Thanks.

No cat for the rear o2 to monitor = CEL ON.

How should i remedy this? The guy that installed said there was a bypass or something you could attach to the rear O2 to fool it. I like the test pipe but hate havin a SES light all the time.

There's nothing you can do to trick the ECU. You're only option is to remove the CEL bulb.

You'd have to modify the plug, but this would work.

That is exactly what the mechanic was talking about. This guy wasn't a smuck he does alot of custom exaust work and he told me I would need one and I said it the test pipe was supposed to be ok for my model year but he was right. Oh well. Has anyone used one of those O2 sensor bypass things yet.
