Greetings 98SE Auto 62,000 miles Day one...The CEL comes on and I run the codes and get the 3,4 OK no prob I change the KS (myself) and my baby is running like we just robbed first national bank. All is well until..Day 3 while Im passing this guy at about 40mph my engine goes to 4000rpms ...to 5000rpms rufusing to shift gears. WTF. Now this happens on the regular. I put it in the 2 position and make it home. I check all the fluids and all is ok, Please dont let it be the T word. Im trying to stay away from the stealership so all comments and ideas are very welcome.

 

I had many problems like that... took 5 trips to the stealership to get fixed... It ended up being a bad wire. They also changed the Transmission Control Unit one time, and a solenoid 3 times, the 5th time my valve body was loose or somthin thanks to the stealership leaving bolts off
