quick / about trans? 96 & 99 non locking

does a trans from a 99 fit on a 96 swap both non locking ??? 5 speed

where are the tags on the trans thanx
seach doesn't work .

They are the same, and you may get lucky and get one that has the differential bearings correctly shimmed since most problems happen with the 95-97 trannies.
