hello. i used this fuel additive stuff that was specifically made for passing emissions, but i think i wanna put some racing fuel in to make SURE i pass.

I have a budget y pipe and i cant get the screws loose thats why i didnt put it back on for emmisions.

i also failed the gas cap. any ideas guys.

Make sure your car is super hot from driving it around just before you test. Make sure your car is in tune (good spark plugs and other maintenance items) and you have no codes. Get a new gas cap and/or trouble shoot gas tank leak.

Generally they say lower octane = less emissions. Racing fuel will only make it worse.

whoa!.............. what?

higher octane burns smoother and makes the car run alot hotter. which makes the spark hotter.

anyone got some ideas. thanks mwest

pour down 3 bottles of octane boost (race fuel = $$$ expensive), then drive around 30 minutes and get emission.

or pay $100 to emission guy.

wow...that's about all i can say, wow...

you really need to learn your stuff man. think about this - how could different octane fuels change how "hot" your spark is? IT DOESN'T. it also doesn't make your car "run a lot hotter."
