Correct type of lug nut?
I have 18" Konig Caffienes on my Max and I had some new tires mounted and balanced today. I went to pick up the car and they said that they had some problems with the lugnuts and studs. One of the studs on the front driver side wheel broke halfway off when they took the lug nut off, and they showed me 2 more lugnuts from the front passenger wheel where the threads were in pretty bad shape. So, I have to pay for the replacement of some studs. They also told me to find some better lugnuts because the ones I have now don't go far enough in. They tighten alright, but they only go in about 5-6 rotations. I also need to be able to put the center caps on, so the lugnuts can't be very long. My lugnuts are just like the ones in this auction:

My question is.... should I get different style lugnuts? Or just replace the studs and just use the same style? Does everyone with aftermarket rims (that require the "acorn" style lugnut) only have to go in 5-6 threads before it being fully tightened? Or is it only my type of rim that is causing the trouble? I have to let the guy know tommorrow, so let me know quick. Thanks a lot!
