Eibach vs everything else

So I was talking to my mechanic the other day while I was getting a new clutch put in along with a short throw shifter and we decided that I needed to do suspension next. He recommended that I go with Eibach springs as he had really good experience with them on BMW’s. (He use to be a BMW tech) I saw a number of other options but I wanted to get the opinion of this forum to see if there was something that was better.

Thanks in advance!

i've had my eibachs for about 5 years and love them. i've driven max's with h&r and maxspeed. in my opinion, the eibachs are the perfect blend of handling and comfort. be sure and change out your shocks at the same time.

On your site you say that the H&R's aren't for the performance minded. I think that will start a lot of arguments.

H&R's handle awsome, Eibach's are a tad stiffer and handle slightly better with a trade off of some ride comfort.

Eibach & H&R are the best street springs you could put in your car.

Yah...eibachs in all my nissans so far (except my 97 gxe 5sp, cuz I'm going coilover). They're great for the street and occassional onramp. Also a good choice if you visit the road course or autox once a month. However, They're mush on the road course, so don't expect anything awesome out there w/the long sweepers and tight turns. Paired with stiff struts help in the transitions, but the sweepers still kill eibachs.

Eibachs are something your passengers can live with. They don't lower much so u can still pack the sub and 4 buddies. In fact, since the rears are progressive springrates (I don't remember the fronts being progressive) the car actually handles better w/some load back there.

Well generally the "performance minded" person would end up choosing Eibachs or Race Coilovers anyway, and probably wouldn't give too much thought to H&Rs, unless they were very concerned about ride stiffness, but then they wouldn't be performance minded anyway. I definately agree that H&Rs handle way better than stock when paired with good shocks.

So I made the change from "least performance oriented" to "most comfort oriented". That fits the H&Rs better.

Eh, coming from me.... the "performance minded" individual, I probably got carried away with mentioning performance in every description.
