Hey, the other day i was listening to my radio and backing up at the same time, and my antenna was up and it hit a low tree branch. Now the antenna mass is bent and wont go back down. So i took it off and jammed it back in the hole. Obviously im getting a lot of static on the radio. I was wondering what is the cheapest way of getting this fixed? Thanks

 

You shouldn't have jammed it back in; it may be difficult to extract. First you need a new mast. You can get them off ebay. Then you need to remove the antenna bezel. That will allow you to extract the old mast once you power on the radio. After it is out, tell a buddy to turn the radio off as you feed the plastic cord of the new mast into the motor (with teeth in the same direction as the old one). Replace the bezel and you are done.

 

Get a new mast. Search yahoo for "year" Nissan Maxima Anteanna Mast. Should be $25-35.
