anything is possible but i wouldn't touch the climate control because if something goes wrong... then you're screwed.

If your talking about the LCD display then the mod you mean is the celophane(sp?) paper. I did it to mine and it looks ok, I couldn't get it blue though. I did 1 layer of red and it turned a white kinda color, in certain light you can see a tad hint of red. You are supposed to do the red then a couple layers of blue to get it blue but I couldn't even see my display with 1 red and 1 blue on it.

i'll take some 2morrow to show ya. I mean it looks better imo (I really HATE green displays) but it is harder to see. If you cut the dimmer wire it does help a little though.

I too wanted a blue clock... couldn't see crap with the 2 layers (1 red and 1 blue).

Here's what I did to get a blue clock:
Get a roll of colored seran(sp?) wrap, the pink stuff.
Cut out a bunch of pieces to put on the clock face.
Carefully put them on without getting dirt on them or creasing them... also being careful not to leave ANY air bubbles.
Keep adding layers until you get the color (green/blue/white/pink) you want.

I think I used about 12 layers to get the color I wanted. This may be different for you depending on the thickness/color of the stuff you may get.

I want to cut the dimmer but have been to lazy.

I have a pic here... the color doesn't come through that well on the pic tho...

It's towards the bottom of the page.

I have the blue clock...did it yesterday while the power was out in the north east. it is very faint though, but who gives a f--- its the clock, i have one on my head unit anyway.. got tired of that awful green. even the white was a little faint, i think i need to get even thinner cellophane paper though. but i actually did pay a dollar a roll for that stuff and besides that it took short time. i dont have pics yet but i will soon. i also want to do all temperature gauges and all window lock stuff so i will eventually wit the solderin kit... blue can be done though, just follow those directions that guy put up
