ebrake light randomly comes on...

anyone else have this problem or know what would cause it? i tried fixing my sticking gauges last week and then it randomly started coming on. when i start my car, it's sometimes on and goes off after a little while but randomly comes on too. any thoughts or suggestions?

ebrake and brakes still feel fine. actually, got new front pads and rotors two weeks ago...

any thoughts?

e-brake light

Hopefully I'm not too far off base here. In the '90 Geo Prizm I used to have (no mods ) the e-brake light would come on whenever I was low on brake fluid. I guess there was some sort of sensor in there. Who knows???? Give it a try!!

Probably not related, but my light started to come on a little before my alternator died

I do not want to scare you but my 3rd Gen apparently had these same symptoms. I found out that it was the Master cylinder(the thing that the brake fluid resivor is attached to ), failing. Have it checked for safety sakes.
