The lower, the less color. Pics won't really help you. They don't always justify the lighting.

The lower the Kelvin rating, the more usable light to the road. I have a 4500K Hi/Lo kit to give me the light without the extra colors.

I love my kit, Phillips 8000k K2. The rating is 3200 lumens. http://www.koolglo.com/html/k2_h_i_d__systems.html , there's a link... still looks like you can order them.

I have the phillips kit w/4100k HIDs. WAY TOO BRIGHT. i shoulda gotten a higher temp like 6000k. the thing is, i bought it b4 i got my Max so i didn't know what the difference was. I'm thinking of buying 6000k bulbs but i still don't know how i feel about shelling out 81 bucks per bulb. Click my link for pics of my HIDs. REMEMBER!!! The lower the temperature, the higher the lumens! The higher the temp, the more color and the less lumens you'll have!

If you want the best bang for the buck go with 6,000k. They give you the looks and the visibility that youd expect from HID. Im running the Hanabi Purple 6,000k kit and love them as much as the day i got them.
or
If you want looks and not as much performance on the road at night go with 8,000k. Just search for my boy Tony (arrafio) hes got them in his heads and fogs

and as far as sellers i would reccomend Freddie, hes got the best selection and prices for HID.

Definitely buy from Freddie. He no longer sells the Hanabi 6000k kit which had tons of color. Now he sells The Hanabi 6500k, 8000k and 8600k kits. I've seen the new 8600k kit in person and it has barely any color (don't know why).
It's up to you whether you want color or not. The Hanabi 8000k is pretty much pure blue. I love mine and everywhere I go people seem to love them too (I get asked about them constantly)
The road will be bright as hell either way. HIDs with our 9004 housings throw light all over the road so you'll never have to worry about visibility, even with them aimed low.

I have Z-Max 7000K and I love them! Especially since cops are a little pushy here in Albany. Mine are mostly white with a hint of blue and maybe even Teenie, weeeny bit of violet. When you start up it's BLUE but warms up in a couple of minutes to the normal white. LOVE IT! I just need to re-aim them because people hate being ahead of me! Haven't been flashed by oncoming traffic yet though.

definetly 7000K Z-max lights!!! These lights are sooo sick, ive gotten so many compliments and everywhere i drive i see heads turning and looking at my car cuz of the lights. I also had to aim them down, and i have not gotten pulled over for my lights. There like light blue with white...hard to explain in words and pics, but in reality they are definetly awesome!

IM me for some pics
