Alternator questions?

Well I think I need a new alternator because mine is whirling with my rpms. And I am not part of the recall. My question is how hard is it to charge your alternator, any directions, and where can I buy one. Can I only get one from another maxima or do other nissans fit. Thanks

Your best advice is on motorvate.ca. It's not very difficult but give yourself a good few hours.

How'd you do it? I messed my install up by bending up a whole bunch of fins on the radiator. Also, the idler pulley took a while for me to piece together correctly. I didn't realize it had so many pieces inside of it

Took me about 2.5 hours. Its not that hard, just a tight spot. Helpful to have someone else who can lend a hand so you can work below and above the car at the same time.
