Why did my car stall on me while driving??

Hey guys,

Man this maxima is giving me way to many problems this year!

I replaced the knock sensor like 2 weeks ago, now I'm stalling... what's next!

Basically I was coming upto my turn, so i get out of thrid and go into second gear... as i'm getting ready to clutch back in, my stearing gets really hard! I look down and my car has stalled. WTF??

So I restart it and get into my work parking. I park the car and watch my rpms start going up and down slightly, eventually to stall out.

What would you guys say it is? I did a search and everyone seems to be point to the Idle Air Control Valve... But these answers were from like a year or 2 ago. What would you guys say now? Same thing? Anyone who dealt with this problem and solved, please please jump in!!

Thanks guys

I have that problem if I have a vaccum leak. Have you messed with your intake manifold (MEVI or anything)?

If not, then it may be your IACV, which you should be able to clean up.

well i did change my KS like a week ago... to get to it without removing the upper intake, i pushed a metal piece out of the way. It has something attached to it, which has about 3 hoses going into it... maybe i broke an old hose or something? I tried moving the metal back to how it was, though it's still not totally straight... hmmm

Those are fuel, coolant and vacuum lines. They bend without problems. Follow the lines and make sure they're all still connected, espescially the smaller ones, which are vaccum lines.

hmmm i'll check that out tonight then... cool

Aside from that the only other real problem would probably be the IACV I assume... Will have to check that as well... dang car troubles

Thanks
