scratching sound under the dash???
#1
I own a 1995 SE.
Yesterday I had the exhaust re-done all the way up to the cat. Since then, I've had a strange scratching sound coming from underneath the dash when I either step on the gas or turn left (wheel counter clockwise) while driving. I hoisted my car up today and checked all the new pipes and there is definately no rubbing or even anything close enough to cause a vibration! It doesn't happen when I turn right, only left. Am I losing something in the front end and it was just a coinsidence that it happened at the same time as the installation of the new exhaust? or is it something to do with the new exhaust? Also, it does not happen when the car is in park, the wheels have to be moving. its not a constant scratch/noise like a vibration would be its a random scratch noise like metal to metal or maybe something is slipping. Any ideas?
