car always slows down?

WHen I'm driving my max and my foot is off the pedal the car is gradually slowing down. Even when going down a hill. Is this normanl for the max and if it's not what is wrong?

Yeah that's normal. It's friction/enginebreaking/wind, and the hill thing depends on the angle of the decline. If it were steeper, you might speed up.

It's just basic physics. A body stays in motion until it is acted upon by another force such as drag, wind, friction, gravity, etc. Oh yeah, make sure your foot if off the brake.

The car will slow down when the overdrive is off. If you put the overdrive to on, it be like cruising and it'll only slow down b/c of wind, friction, gravity, etc.

My mom's Civic doesn't have o/d so it's like the brakes are always on. This happens to me when my o/d is off. I leave my o/d on so I don't have to worry about it
