Spring Coil Wrap + Lowering Questions

Hopefully next week I will be lowering my car with the sprint/AGX setup. Can someone please tell me about this coil wrap stuff that you put on the coils to eliminate squeaking. Is this the same thing as the sleeves on the stock springs and I have to reuse them? I remember some people used helical wire loom from radio shack but I cant find any of those posts when I search. Anyone know about this?

Also I did some research on what parts to replace (depending on their condition) while lowering the car:

strut mounts
strut bearings
Dust boots (ordered KYB boots from Cattman)

Anything else that I'm missing?

Any input will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Naveed

You can reuse the rubber sleves from your OEM springs if there in good shape or wrap them with the wire wrap if there not. If you check the FAQ thread I have P/N of Nissan isolators up there. You can pry apart and regrease the strut bearing, I recomend you do that at the least. If your upper mounts are ok, don't bother replacing them. The KYB dust boots were a smart buy.

Good luck with the install. Don't forget to make the word OUT on the front upper spring perch face out or be in line with the lower strut mounting bracket. Also the rear upper mount studs should line up with the lower bolt hole on the rear shock.

Thank you njmaxseltd and 96shogunmax for the quick replies. For the wire wrap from radio shack I'm guessing they have different diameter wraps that you could buy. Is there a specific size or brand that I'm supposed to get??
