Does anyone know how to make the truck pop with an aftermarket car alarm?

Like a pepsi truck, the new Pepsi Vanilla truck in the commercial is hillarious.

Seriously though get an alarm that has a TRUNK opener and that's it...

depends. what trunk release do you have now? a lever or a button? if button, you'll just need to wire up a relay. If lever, you'll need a solenoid and relays.

I have Clifford. I don’t know if it is button or lever. What do you think I need to get?

What year is your max? Is there a button on your door to release the trunk? OR is a lever that you pull up in front and to the side of the drivers seat. If its the button then you just need to connect the wire from your aftermarket alarm for the trunk release, and use a relay.

Ah, I see what you folks mean by lever. I thought it’s in the trunk. My max is 97 and I have a lever. What do you think I should do then?

Lever = no electric solenoid

You need to get an electric solenoid and have it installed... then it's simple to wire the alarm's AUX output to activate the relay powering the solenoid.

If you already had the push button release on the door, then you just ground a wire running outboard of the driver's seat.

Are you sure that the lever is for the trunk and not the gas? I have only seen '95s with the lever. Check on your door for a button.

Ya, my max have a lever. When I push down the lever, it’s for the gas door and when I pull the lever, it’s for the trunk.
