Starting problem...please help

I was driving along and right after a stop light my max tries to go...then just kinda dies, kinda like a lawn mower when its runing out of gas. First my radio goes out then it dies. Then when I try and start it, it tries to crank and dies. What could it be? I metered the battery (which is less than a year old) and it is putting out 12 volts when not running, should it put out more? The alternator it putting out a steady 14 when running. This is the 3rd time this has happend. The first time I got a jump and drove it to the nissan dealership for them to look at it...and 60 bucks later they said they couldn't find anything wrong. They said it might be my chrome battery terminals which are yeild ultra low resistance and have worked fine for the 6 months that I've had them. The second time it happend I was with a friend who took his optima battery out of his car and put it in mine. And it started up just fine. We even had the car running without the battery for a while while we switched them back. So now I'm getting ****ed and don't know what to do. Any suggestions out there in maxima land?

Thanks - The Chad

Your chrome battery terminals are causing your problem.
