straight pipe install
what is the best way to go about putting a straight pipe in? just cut the flanges off my converter and weld to pipe? or should i just buy an aftermarket straight pipe specifically for it? is there one?

nah, the straight pipe is a complete replacement of the cat between b-pipe and y-pipe. You simply unbolt the cat converter out (4 bolts i believe) and bolt the straight pipe in. The straight pipe is normally a 3" diamater so it may or u should buy some new/bigger gaskets for them. Otherise u will have exhaust leaks...i know from experience...

that way you still have the cat in 1pc if you ever want to put it back.

by going with the carsound cat you will save money & pass inspection.
the carsound cat is edp & carb appoved.
but if don't care about passing inspection than a test pipe is the cheapest way to go.
