What is the sound of the various intakes like at normal driving >50% throttle?

I would like an intake, but I also like for my car to be quiet during normal driving.

Is the CAI always louder, or only near WOT?

Is there any value in designing an intake that uses the factory silencer during normal driving, but opens a pathway to a CAI at >50% throttle? So during normal driving it's still refined and stock-sounding, yet when you lean on it a bit you get the extra power of a CAI?

 

the CAI has a whistle to it when you step on the throttle.

 

The midpipe is very quiet. You don't even hear it when cruising until you get to about 3000rpm.

 

the intake is quiet during normal driving unless you step on it. I can redline if I want to without ever hearing a peep from the intake, just have to accelerate normally without mashing on the accelerator.

 

only at wot, or near wot will you hear an intake... it is completely stock sounding untill you give it near wot
