Best Muffler To couple with Resonated BUDGET 2.5'' SS B-pipe?

My Stock B-pipe is pretty shot, Two of the Hangar Welds have broken, leaving the b-pipe to wobble and bang against a crossmember underneath my car...I currently have the B-pipe tied up around the headshield (right behind the resonator) with a braided steel cord.
So Needless to say, its time for a new exhaust! I can get a 2.5''
Resonated T-304 Mandrel Bent Stainless Steel B-pipe for 180 bucks Shipped...and then All I will need is a Universal 2.5'' inlet Muffler, and depending on the muffler, a tip!
That begs the question though, on what muffler it is that I want!
As far as loudness go, I'm look for something as loud, or a tad quieter than a GReddy SP, And louder than Meccanobles OBX...As far as tone, I am looking for a clean, deep, not raspy tone that is nothing reminiscent of a honda civic...I will be running a resonator, like I said earlier, which should clean up the tone, and I will have a Budget Y-pipe and the stock Catalytic converter as well.
I have heard good comments about http://store.summitracing.com/partde...rt=WLK%2D17734 this muffler and for the price you can't beat it (with a tip on there you are lookin at like 80bucks!), although I have heard that it is a quiet muffler, and I'm not looking to be really quiet...I put it to SeximaGTR by saying "I want my Intake to say
MOVE B!tch, and I want my exhaust to say GOOD BYE!" I want ppl to hear it and say, damn, that car's got something...but I don't want them to say, wow, what a DUMBA$$..
I don't want to be a disturbing A$$hole about things...
Hope I was descriptive enough, and sorry for the long post
Thanks Guys!
Kyle

I just got a Custom 2.25 Catback made from my muffler shop
No resonator w/ oem replacement muffler 200.00 everything installed.
Hangers fixed and y pipe sealed too.

I wasnt about to pay 180 for a pipe that does just the same amount of power. The muffler is identical and was welded at the base at 2.25 inch piping. <no gaskets
Tone and Sound is excellent, it sounds like a modded maxima with a stock exhaust_ Thats all i wanted. ypipe and intake also on my 95 auto se.

btw, ive had a apex-i but that was just a bit too loud for me, so this is a personal preference.

all the chrome aftermarket mufflers are kinda loud.
HKS makes a nice one thats Loud,
Ive Heard really good things about DynaMax Mufflers too.
But for that modded aftermarket tone, just get the oem replacement for 85 bucks

I have the Dynomax..it is quieter than what you are looking for. Unless you get the B pipe without a resonator, I am about to have mine removed, because I wouldn't mind it being a lil louder.

the resonator doesnt make the muffler quieter, so much as it eliminates stray noise so that it cleans up the sound... the dynomax is so attractive because its also really cheap...38 bux
torgus how loud is your muffler/which muffler do you have?

I agree with Torgus. I got myself a Magnaflow muffler (part#14216) this past weekend with a custom 2.5 cat-back exhaust w\o a resonator. The muffler tone is definately deep. It's not too loud, barely audible at idle but noticable above 2k rpm.

just two more questions...
1) the muffler required a tip, yes?
2)Your exhaust has no resonator? Do You have any raspiness?
The unresonated is cheaper...hmmmmmmm!

1) The muffler did not have a tip. I got one for 20.00.
2) I don't hear that type of sound, just deep and precise

Well coming from experience, as i am currently running a Dynomax super turbo exhuast (in dual form however) its decently loud when you want it (WOT) and VERY quiet around town (2K rpms), which is how i like it. Theres no drone (however im still running a stock B). So its safe to assume your setup would be louder with the B-pipe.

heres a picture of my setup, running dual 3.5 x 8in chrome tips..

And you cant beat the price either, i paid 44 bucks for the muffler...

hmmm, ive heard that magnaflows are raspy
but i do know it would be loud enough for me, if its not raspy without a resonator, i would buy one right now!

my exhuast is ****ing loud as all hell. its louder then my buddies full stillen with a y n racing pipe. i don't know why but damn. it drones a bit but its just loud. everyone stars..but my resonator but the sound by 30% but it cleaned it up, the sound is a little more sportier. it is not raspy at all. very very deep n low. i think you'd like it..but i'm partial to it. =] any Qs PM me. or aolim s/n torgus

I have a borla pro xs muffler with intercooled tip hooked up to my budget b with resonator. however i dont have my y pipe installed yet, so i cant tell you what something like this would sound like if you had a y on it. but the nice thing about the borla with the tip i have is that it looks almost stock. because my tip is only 2.5 in. like the rest of the exhaust. the borla is stright through stainless steel and it sounds nice, not too loud, but thats without the y pipe on my car. the only difficult part of this is that i had to order a straigh piece of 2.5 in stainless steel piping to connect the b pipe to the muffler. i had to have a flange made for this and got it custom mandrely bent to hook it up. THis was all done with clamps because i didnt want any welds. fortunatly i had a good mechanic who did all this for free, so i dont know how much this would cost.

just thought id give you some ideas from the experience that i have....
