changing brake pads question

Is it ok to change out brake pads without having the roter resurfaced? given that the roters are in good condition. the roters are slotted so cannot get them cut. I figure the pads will break-in just fine but just posted for some further comments. thanks

If your rotors are not damaged (no grooves and no warping for example) you do not need to have them resurfaced when you change your break pads.

Why can't you turn slotted rotors? They only cut to a certain spec. I thought they would just pass over the slots.
