how to remove headliner?

i just got an i30 that originally had no sunroof however the first owner installed an aftermarket sunroof. Now the headliner sags a little, and ripples when the windows are opened. Also on the drivers side, with the door opened you can see the headliner sagging opened. It is really starting to annoy me and I want to remove the headliner and replace it with a new one. Also how to I remove the present headliner? Anyone have any ideas on where to get a new (used) tan headliner to replace my current sagging one? I would appreciate it!

This might be a little tricky seeing as it's aftermarket. My brother has a Matrix and he had an aftermarket sunroof installed. They had to modify the original headliner quite a bit to make to make room for the guts of the thing--there's actually one or two sections that were removed--though your installation might be completely different. You can remove the headliner once you remove anything that attaches it...sunvisors and hardware, pull handles above the doors, rearview mirror, dome light, etc. and the pillar posts since the posts overlap the headliner. The posts use clips that pop in and out though be careful with them as they're a bit brittle. Removing it from a back door will be about your only option and taking out the butt cushion of the backseat will give you some more room to work with. As for finding a used headliner, probably a junk yard would be your best bet. If you want to look at replacing the material, there are many different kits and materials available; you might find a good color match but chances are it will look different in some way. Permatex Heavy Duty Headliner adhesive works pretty well. (Orange can, blue cap; auto parts store) I've used this before but you only get once chance when your working with it...it holds like steel.
