JET ECU for 98+ Maximas???
Sorry if this is a repost (I searched and only found 2 threads since 2002).
Up until now, no one has made an ECU upgrade for 98 & 99 Maximas(except somebody in Austrailia but I don't know anyone who tried that one). CustomMaxima has a JET ECU upgrade for (they claim) 1985-2005 Maximas. Most of the older posts (2002 and before) say that the JET ECU is crap, except for Nealoc who had it for 2 days in his 96 or 97 and said it gave good gains in the mid-range rpms.
Has anyone (98 or 99) tried this new JET ECU? If so, does it work, what were the gains, etc. CustomMaxima has a dyno that shows roughly 9 WHP gains throughout the powerband for a 98 (although the stock dyno doesn't show a drop off after 5500 rpms
).
