Lowering springs, Auto vs Standard shift

I am about to order lowering springs for my 95 Max. I read a while back that because of the weight of the standard tranny versus the automatic, the front spring should have a bigger drop than the back to compensate for the weight. Is that true? Somehow, I don't want a car that is higher in the front tahn the back, I prefer a leveled car. .

Thanks for any help you can provide,
Stephane

It's the other way around. An Auto tranny is heavier, so the front will be a little lower.

Better to have it lower in the front than the rears. You'd look like a lincoln car service town car otherwise

Otherwise known as a Taxi in most other states.

To answer the height difference, I would much rather the front lower then the max. Its more Bimmer-issh that way, which is really nice (IMO)

That's what I mean. So a set of B&G or Drop-Zone which are the same drop all around might make a standard trans car look like the rear is sagging? I should be looking for springs kits that drops the front a little more than the back?

Thanks again,
Stephane

why does it matter so much anyway? once u step in ur car, ur adding at least 160 pounds to the front and it would automatically go lower anyways. right? i dont think thats THAT noticeable !

DO NOT get drop-zone springs. they tend to sag in the back. if your goin for 2" drops, get sprint springs or GC coilovers.
