help!!! transmission problem?

my car is (usually) not getting very much power from the engine. I will be driving and when i hit the gas, my engine revs (tach flys) , but the car doesnt accelerate very fast. sometimes it takes forever to get to highway speeds. I could be at 6000 rpms in third doing about 30 mph. i had the clutch master and slave cylinder replaced by merchants auto about a month ago. nissan dealership said it may be faulty parts they installed (i went in for ecu codes). took the car to merchants and they say it may be the tranny is bad?

i know its not the clutch because that was done recently (and grabs hard when the car runs fine). the clutch peddle does get really firm and grabs high when i have this problem. it usually occurs after driving the car a few time that day (short trips)

i guess i have to go back to nissan. do you guys have any clue what may be up.

my ecu was throwing map sensor and knock sensor codes, but nissan said that shouldnt cause the problem.

Sounds like the classic symptoms of a slipping clutch. Either the clutch disk itself is worn out or not clean where it's slipping OR could be something with the pressure plate not pushing the clutch disk hard enough.

Same problem happened to me when I did my conversion. Yo have to adjust the yoke on the master cylinder. For some reason after you start driving for a while you start losing pressure in the hydralic system because air starts getting in the lines. Take it back to them and have them check the master cylinder I can bet you thats the problem.

yeah definately sounds like either a bad clucth install or lots of air getting in the lines some where, have it checked out soon, wouldnt want you to have to shell out for a new clutch again!
