Problem starting car...

In the past 2 weeks I noticed my car has not been starting up too well. Basically when I turn the key I just hear a noise and the car doesn't start. Then I turn the key again and hear the noise and press on the gas, and the the car will start up but then stall out (its an automatic however.) Then I will turn the key again to start it up and it will start up fine. This has been happening anytime the car sits for a while, like overnight. Also I had my starter replaced about a year ago, and I know its not my battery because I had that replaced as well. ANyone have any ideas?

Check that your Engine Coolant Temp Sensor is working OK. If it's not, the ECU may think the engine is warm when it's not (as when it's been sitting awhile). This could cause hard starting when the engine is not
near operating temperature.

hmmm..it makes a noise but it does not start......i wonder, because to me that sounds like your starter celenoid. when it starts making noise look on top of your tranny and tap that sucker a little bit with a hammer. sometimes with me that would help, but in the end i just needed a new starter....
