Will JWT modified ECU lower my 1/4 mile time?????????????

I have a few questions:

1) Is it worth getting the JWT ECU modification? WIll that improve acceleration? What would be an estimate of hp gain on a bone stock 99 SE-L 5-spd with the ECU modified? If not JWT, what else is out there?

2) Will I notice increase in speed if I get a y-pipe even though I have a stock airbox (I don't want an intake...don't ask...I just don't)?

3) Should I get the ECU modified before or after getting the y-pipe? I heard a lot of fuss about them adjusting the ECU to the mods you have on the car, but is that necessary? What if I get rid of my y-pipe, I have to mod the ECU again?

JWT is for 95/96 only. Y-pipe will give noticeable gains even without an intake.

you can do the mods before or after. The ECU will need to be reset and recalibrate to your mods the first few minutes powering back up

Yep - he has a 1999 - He can't get a JWT ECU anyway as I understand it.

The JWT ECU program is the same whether or not you have an aftermarket y-pipe or not. They just use an NA program. The different program only matters when you have s/c, tubo, NOS.

But if you do have a 1999, you cannot get a JWT ECU either way.
