Clutch Review: Exedy Stage 1 organic...
Well, since i baked my stock clutch spraying, i had to upgrade. I chose the Exedy Stage 1, just because its slightly cheaper than the ACT and ive read so many threads of people breaking tranny's due to mostly their stupidty using the ACT.
All in all, it didnt take my friend but about an hour and 45mins to pull it out. Not too bad. I have to say that i was shocked when my friend pulled the tranny. When he was pulling the clutch, debree (sp?) and **** just started fallin off of the clutch, black stuff. Everytime he touched it to get it off. It was definately shot to hell. I also went ahead and resurfaced the flywheel for only 35bucks, looked like new when i got it back...
Anyways, just got the car back tonight. I must say, i talked with some people who switched to a stronger clutch just to see if it grabed so quickly. i had to change my driving style. this clutch grabs RIGHT at the bottom. So much so that i stalled the first time driving it. However its starting to soften up pretty damn quickly.
I also took the liberty and switched to Sythetic motor oil, NGK Coppers 1 step colder (since im juicing), and got some new belts. She runs just like new now
