Odometer only works when the car is cold??
My odometer only works when the car is cold. I am not referring to the temp gauge but more like the temp inside the cluster I would think. After that it simply stops working. Is something loose inside that expands and gets stuck?? Is the only solution getting a new cluster??

This topic has been delved into many times, if i'm not mistaken someone looked into it and it turns out to be our speedometer head unit. the part alone costs 250 dollars and then another 250 for the labor. Labor charges may vary with area, but none the less, it's alot of bread. Best bet would probably involve a used gauge cluster and 20 minutes to replace the whole deal. Ebay is your friend. Hope this helps, if you want to find out, call your nissan dealership, this is a pretty common problem, so I'm sure they'll know what you're talking about right away.

124k miles. 96 Se white face cluster. The reason im selling cheap is because it doesnt have the clear plastic cover (use the one you got on ur current cluster) and the tach doesnt go past 2k RPM when its cold (use your old tach also). Everything else (all bulbs, fuel guage, temp guage, speedometer) works perfectly and accurately. If you buy my cluster, it will not only fix your problem, it will give you the SE white face cluster upgrade for same low price.
